Food and Social
The weekend is a time to let loose. We find the time for movies down at the levee, bowling at the Union, hiking on the Wabash Heritage Trail, picnicking at the many parks on campus and around town, and attending Boilermaker sporting events. We have a variety of intramural teams, play rounds of golf, visit art galleries, attend concerts on campus, and attend the various local festivals. http://www.lafayette.in.gov/parks/
Places to eat
Lunch on campus can be found at any fast food restaurant within walking distance. These include Jake’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill, Arby’s, Fazoli’s, Taco Bell, Pappy’s Sweet Shop, Villa Pizza, The Parthenon and of course in Lynn Hall, Vet Vittles. There is a refrigerator for student use in the lounge where many students keep packed lunches or microwave meals for lunch between classes.
The restaurant/bar scene is prevalent with the most notorious being Harry’s Chocolate Shop. Other hot spots include Jake’s, Where Else?, Brothers, Neon Cactus, and various Lafayette locales like Sgt. Preston’s. There are a variety of local coffee shops in “The Village” to change your study environment.
