Peer Tutoring Program

Peer tutoring allows both students to practice material. The student in need gets someone to guide them through difficult material, and the tutor has a chance to review material, so they too may do better on exams.

How do I requrest a tutor?

If you feel you could use some help with a certain topic or class, you may simply contact the learning specialist, Kristin Lively.

She will connect you with a tutor with time and interest in the subject you request, and you two will work out a schedule together as needed.

What do I need to do to prepare for a tutoring session?

Although this between the students, we generally suggest that the student have some questions prepared for their tutor in advance. The student should provide the tutor with the material they are having difficulty with so that the tutor may brush up, and prepare a new way to explain the topic.
