Information Meetings
Last fall we launched a series of class-specific discussions designed to support students by addressing a broad range of topics pertinent to student success. These session were well received by students, therefore, we plan to continue them again this school year.
The goal is to make sessions available for students at all of our campuses through the use of a live interactive feed. Each meeting will be recorded and housed in the Media Catalog with a link in Oncourse to be used as a resource throughout a student’s medical school career. There is a MSA Twitter account that will serve as a Q and A forum during live meetings. Links to recorded sessions and other information is available in Oncourse.
Class-specific large-group discussions will be held during protected times on specific dates. These meetings are designed to support students by addressing a broad range of pertinent topics including but not limited to, study skills for first-year students, the transition from classroom to clerkships for second-year students, specialty selection for third-year students, and preparation for residency interviews and the SOAP process for fourth-year students.
Please check back and mark your calendars for the sessions applicable to your class year as they are very important. The sessions will provide a great opportunity to obtain vital information and to ask questions to ensure you know all you need to know about the critical topic areas being discussed.
